This is a great workhorse Fender guitar, well set up and lovely to play. Essentially, it’s a 2006 Fender model (serial MZ6-). But the neck was in poor shape, so I’ve swapped it out with a 1998 Fender Standard neck.

BODY:

Classic black with some bumps and scuffs – but not many considering she’s been around the block.
PICKUPS:

Stock Fender Strat pups with a 5-way switch, giving you the whole range of bluesy, chimey, glassy and out-of-phase positions.

There’s some oxidation on the tops of the pole pieces and slight discolouration on the switch.
NECK: Rosewood board, feels lovely to play.

She’s had a fret dress in the past year and there’s very little wear indeed.

Neck is a C profile but feels slightly fuller in the hand. Rosewood has a slightly lighter tone in the top few fret positions.
(The old neck that previously came with the body is not included in the sale.)
TUNERS: At some point alternative tuners were fitted (holes still showing).

However, I sourced a set of Fender USA/Mex Standard pegs to set things back to normal.

ACTION: I’ve cut the top nut slightly lower so you’ve got a really comfortable lowish action for easy playing.

You can raise the action if you play a lot of lead and string-bends, etc. She’s set up with 10-46 strings. I’ve also set the intonation.

OTHER FEATURES: The original bridge was very rusty so I’ve replaced this with a new Fender Standard assembly with a big block. There’s no backplate, enabling easier access/adjustment to the trem. She’s also fitted with aged cream dials and pickup covers.
PS: If you wish, I’ll peel off my Axe Relics sticker on the back of the headstock before shipping her.

This guitar has now been sold. Thanks for your interest.
