It’s great that Fender made the effort to bring out a left-handed version of the excellent Squier Silver Series, which were made in Japan.
This one has all the stock parts – except I’ve switched the pickguard, dials, etc, for aged white (rather than black. Though the original parts come with her.)

I’ll talk you through this guitar …
NECK
It’s a straightforward Japanese Squier neck with the Silver Series logo on the ball of the headstock.

The serial humber appears at the base of the neck. The M serial dates her at 1992/93 in the Fender FujiGen factory.

Like virtually all Silver Series models, she’s got the excellent GOTOH tuners.

The neck is a C profile with a 7.25 radius. The frets are in pretty good shape (light wear only) and she’s set up for a comfortable lowish-medium action with 10-46 strings.

One quirk I noticed: A tiny slither of fretboard (after the nut and before the tuners) has been removed (see above). Barely noticeable and has no effect on the guitar at all. But I mention it for detail.
BODY
Lovely full Fender 44.5mm thickness in basswood and with a wonderful sunburst.
In great shape, considering she’s 27/28 years old! Very few marks or dings.

PICKUPS & PICKGUARD
The pickups seem to be the stock ones for a MIJ Squier Silver Series. Decent, edgy sound and plenty of oomph.

However, the original pickguard, pickup covers and dials were black (as per the sunburst Silver Series models). Personally, I’m not a fan – so I swapped these out for an aged white set of everything.
I’ll supply the original black plastics set with the guitar. You can always fit everything back the way it was with some drill hole filling, etc.

ANYTHING ELSE TO SAY?
She’s a great example of a classic MIJ Fender Squier.

This guitar has now been sold.
